FiberFlute is a fiber-based packaging solution that provides outstanding cushioning performance for a wide range of products. FiberFlute is an eco-friendly alternative to foam and is 100% paper-recyclable.
FiberFlute is made of 100% recycled paper and is recyclable in the paper stream, the world’s largest recycling stream.
FiberFlute absorbs more shock with less material compared to polyethylene foam. It performs in both dry and humid conditions and can resist multiple drops.
Made of renewable material while PE foam is a fossil-based material. FiberFlute has a nestable shape which results in less CO2 emissions in the inbound supply chain.
In order to be circular, materials must be recycled or otherwise naturally degrade. Mixed material solutions require separation of elements before recycling, which adds additional challenges to the chain. As such, more and more companies and countries are implementing strict measures to reduce waste.
FiberFlute contributes to a more sustainable society without sacrificing functionality. It minimizes landfill waste by utilizing 100% recycled fiber-based solutions. As an eco-friendly alternative to foam and plastics, FiberFlute also contributes to reduced CO2 emissions due to less trash being burnt and ending up in the ocean.
In a comparative analysis between polyethylene foam (30kg/m3) and Nefab's FiberFlute type 190 (lowest density in the FiberFlute range), we used equivalent material thickness (20/40/60mm) to verify which solution performed better.
The result showed 40-45% lower G-values for FiberFlute, which means that less material is required to protect products when using FiberFlute as compared to polyethylene.
